What It Is
Zapain is a combination capsule containing 30 mg of tramadol and 500 mg of paracetamol (acetaminophen). It is used for the relief of moderate to severe pain. Tramadol is an opioid-like analgesic, while paracetamol helps reduce pain and fever. Together, they provide stronger pain relief than either component alone.
Uses and Effects
Zapain is commonly prescribed for conditions such as post-operative pain, musculoskeletal pain, and severe chronic pain episodes. The tramadol component acts on the central nervous system to reduce pain perception, while paracetamol works peripherally to reduce pain and inflammation. Pain relief usually starts within 30–60 minutes of oral intake.
Risks and Safety
Common side effects include dizziness, nausea, constipation, drowsiness, and headache. Tramadol carries a risk of dependence and should be used exactly as prescribed. It can also cause respiratory depression if combined with alcohol or other depressants. Paracetamol overdose can lead to liver damage, so careful adherence to the dosage is critical.
